Issues From Public Open Houses
In June 2007, ADOT&PF held two open houses to ask the public what issues or comments they had about the project. The approximately 15 members of the public who attended the open houses suggested the following issues for additional consideration:
- Improve amenities by adding:
- Additional pullouts and parking
-
Include bike and pedestrian trails
- A boat launch, parking, and facilities at Twentymile River will involve the Forest Service and probably Fish and Game.
- Protect the environment, including:
- Wetland areas
-
Anadromous fish streams
- Wild flower areas
- Bird areas
- Improve design by:
-
Improving drainage
- Lowering speed limits
ADOT&PF will hold further public meetings as the project progresses. Additional issues will be added to this page following these meetings
